Pet Dental Care Talk — A Day of Smiles and Learning for Pet Parents

Good pet health starts with proper education and daily care. To promote this, we were delighted to sponsor the Pet Dental Care Talk hosted by Tai Wai Animal Hospital and Lifelong Animal Protection (LAP) — an inspiring event dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of dental health in pets.

Led by Dr. ErikaHospital Director at Tai Wai Animal Hospital, the session offered valuable insights into pet dental health — from understanding common oral issues to learning how poor dental hygiene can affect a pet’s overall wellbeing.

Participants also enjoyed a hands-on toothbrushing demonstration, where Dr. Erika guided them through the proper brushing technique — empowering them to confidently care for their pets' teeth at home.

Vet Expert V+ Caryodent Enzymatic Toothpaste 50ml

As a proud sponsor, Vetopia provided exclusive event gifts, including Vet Expert V+ Caryodent Enzymatic Toothpaste, a vet-recommended toothpaste for maintaining pets' oral health. We also invited our Vetopia community to join this meaningful session, and were thrilled to see so many passionate pet parents eager to learn and care for their furry companions.

Dental Care Tips from Dr. Erika

“The key is to start slow and keep sessions short.” — Dr. Erika

  1. Start with familiarity: For the first few days, don’t brush. Simply let your pet sniff and explore the toothbrush and toothpaste.

  2. Gradually introduce brushing: Once they’re comfortable, gently lift their lip and brush a few teeth at a time at a 45° angle to clean under the gumline.

  3. Use gentle strokes: Avoid rotating the brush — instead, use light pressure and make three short horizontal strokes before moving away from the gumCat and Dog Teeth Brushing Tips

  4. Keep it positive: Always end with praise or a treat to build a pleasant association.

With patience and consistency, your pet will soon accept toothbrushing as a happy part of their daily routine.
